Stone Polishing Wax

A Finishing Option for Polished Stone

A stone-finishing enquiry should start with the desired appearance and the condition of the surface. Is the customer asking for routine gloss enhancement, removal of a stain, repair of etching or restoration of deep scratches? These needs call for different processes.

Usage Instructions

  • Inspect and prepare. Identify the stone and existing finish. Resolve damage or incompatible coatings separately. Remove dirt and grit with a suitable method and allow the surface to dry as required.
  • Protect and trial. Protect adjoining materials and test a discreet area or representative offcut. Include the proposed applicator and buffing method in the trial.
  • Apply evenly. Work in manageable sections with the approved cloth, sponge or equipment. Avoid excessive deposits and buildup at edges or details.
  • Allow the specified drying stage. Follow the actual instructions and conditions. Do not improvise heating, add solvent or mix the wax with another treatment to speed up the process.
  • Buff and inspect. Use clean, compatible materials to complete the finish and remove excess. Check for streaks, haze and remaining residue before accepting the work.

FAQ & Limitations

Is this the same as SC500 Marble Crystallizer & Polish?

No. This is a wax-finishing product. The SC500 content is scoped to a separate crystallization maintenance process. Do not combine the two or substitute one for the other without an approved procedure.

Does it replace a penetrating stone sealer?

No equivalent protection has been established here. A gloss treatment and a specified stain-protection system solve different needs. Assess any proposed combination and sequence separately.

Can it remove scratches or acid etching?

Do not use a change in shine as proof that damage has been removed. Assess the defect first; repair, honing or repolishing may be needed before a finishing treatment is considered.

Can I use it on a polished floor?

Not on appearance alone. Confirm that the actual wax is approved for the particular floor and assess the treated surface for its intended use before opening it to traffic. No non-slip claim is made.
