S200 Door & Window Neutral Silicone Sealant

Sealing Details for Window and Door Installations

KEDA S200 is intended for general, non-structural sealing around windows and doors. Its focus is the joint between adjoining components—not the structural attachment of glass or the mechanical fixing of a frame.

For a project enquiry, share the frame material, surface finish, glass type and adjoining wall construction. These details help establish whether S200 is appropriate for the proposed joint and what preparation needs to be considered.

Application selection

Application Areas

  • Window-frame perimeter joints.
  • Door-frame perimeter joints.
  • Non-structural joints around glazing beads and trims.
  • Replacement of existing window or door sealant after the cause of failure has been assessed.

Adhesion and compatibility must be checked on the actual materials before installation. Exposed exterior joints also require a review of weather exposure and expected joint movement.

Before You Order

To discuss a suitable product option, please provide:

  • The materials on both sides of the joint, including coatings or finishes.
  • Approximate joint width and depth.
  • Whether the joint is indoors, sheltered outdoors or directly exposed to weather.
  • Your preferred colour, package size, quantity and destination market.
  • Any project-specific testing or documentation requirements.

Colour and packaging requests are subject to confirmation; submitting a preference does not indicate stock availability.

Application workflow

General Application Guide

This is a general workflow, not a substitute for the instructions and safety information supplied with the actual product.

  • Check the joint. Secure the frame mechanically and confirm the selected sealant, substrate compatibility and joint design before starting.
  • Prepare the surfaces. Remove old sealant, loose coatings, dust, oil and other contamination. Bonding surfaces must be sound, clean and dry. Use only cleaning and preparation methods compatible with the substrates.
  • Prepare the joint depth. Install a compatible backing material where required by the joint design. Apply a suitable primer only when specified for the selected product and substrate.
  • Apply the sealant. Prepare the cartridge and nozzle, then apply a continuous bead with adequate contact along the joint sides. Avoid leaving voids.
  • Finish the bead. Tool the joint before a surface skin forms and remove masking tape while the material remains workable.
  • Protect the joint. Prevent disturbance and premature exposure until the required cure has been achieved. Follow the actual product instructions for application conditions and curing time.

Provide ventilation and use the protective equipment specified in the supplied safety information.

Questions before ordering

Can S200 replace a structural glazing adhesive?

No. S200 is presented for non-structural joint sealing. Structural glazing requires a separately specified product and system assessment.

Can it be used with aluminium or uPVC frames?

Please identify the exact frame material and finish. Coatings, adjoining materials and preparation can affect compatibility, so approval should be based on the actual joint materials rather than the frame name alone.

How do I request a colour or package size?

Include your preferences and estimated quantity in the enquiry. KEDA will confirm the available option before an order is agreed.
