KD-015 Epoxy Resin for Stone Slab Repair

Repair and Prepare Stone Slabs for Finishing

A stone-processing workshop needs to assess more than the appearance of a crack. Its depth, continuity, cleanliness and effect on slab integrity influence whether the material can be processed and what treatment is appropriate.

Usage Instructions

  • Inspect the slab. Identify the stone, previous treatments and defect pattern. Support it safely and assess through-cracks or unstable areas before processing. Do not assume a face treatment alone resolves the condition of the whole slab.
  • Prepare a representative trial. Use the approved cleaning and preparation method. Trial the complete repair and finishing sequence, including any backing material, on a suitable sample before production.
  • Measure the matched components. Confirm the supplied grade and its written ratio. Use suitable weighing equipment and separate dispensing tools for A and B. Do not alter the hardener proportion to change processing speed.
  • Mix and apply within the approved window. Work with manageable batches and the prescribed mixing method. Follow the agreed application process; do not reuse material that has begun to gel or thicken.
  • Allow the required cure. Keep treated slabs supported under the approved conditions. Confirm readiness for handling, stacking and machining separately; a surface that feels dry is not sufficient evidence for every next step.
  • Finish and evaluate. Inspect the repaired areas after the intended finishing process. Record color change, remaining defects and processing results. Release production only against agreed acceptance criteria.

FAQ & Limitations

How is KD-015 different from an epoxy slab-installation adhesive?

This page concerns treating stone during fabrication. Bonding a slab to a building substrate is a different application with different requirements. Do not select a resin solely because both products contain epoxy.

Can I mix it by volume using the same numerical ratio?

No. Weight and volume ratios are not interchangeable without component-density information and an approved conversion. Use the measurement basis stated for the actual supplied product.

Can I use it with glass-fiber mesh?

Discuss the specific slab, mesh and backing process with KEDA. A catalog application does not establish compatibility with every mesh or authorize a structural design. Evaluate the complete process before production.

Can it be tinted to match the stone?

Ask for the approved paste and addition instructions for the supplied grade. Approve the finished sample and preserve the resin–hardener proportion. Do not apply a percentage taken from a different resin system.
