Sintered Stone Composite Adhesive

Adhesive for Sintered Stone Miter Joints and Edge Fabrication

KEDA Sintered Stone Composite Adhesive is intended for professional bonding work on compatible sintered stone, with a focus on 45° miter joints and fabricated edge details. It is positioned for countertop and furniture fabricators reviewing an adhesive for a specific slab and joint design.

Select the product for the actual bonding surfaces and service conditions. A slab's appearance alone does not establish adhesive compatibility, and a neat-looking seam is not proof of adequate bond performance.

Application selection

Application Focus

  • 45° mitered edge details on compatible sintered stone components.
  • Approved edge build-ups and related edge-bonding work.
  • Sample fabrication to assess joint appearance and the proposed production method.

This draft is scoped to assessed interior fabrication applications. Bonding a slab to aluminium honeycomb, timber, metal or another backing requires a separate review of the complete assembly. Do not assume that approval for a miter joint also covers large-area lamination.

Plan the Joint Before Bonding

Review the slab type, thickness, cut quality, actual bond faces and any mesh, coating or backing treatment. Dry-fit the components and arrange suitable supports and fixtures before starting.

The bond line should follow the requirements of the selected adhesive and slab system. Do not use the adhesive to compensate for an unsuitable joint design or missing structural support. A bonded edge or decorative waterfall panel must not be assumed to support the countertop.

Approve the Cured Appearance

Evaluate a representative sample using the actual slab, adhesive and proposed finishing process. Inspect the cured color, joint visibility and any staining, as well as the bond performance required for the application.

White adhesive does not guarantee an invisible seam on every slab. Use pigments only when their compatibility and permitted dosage have been confirmed for the supplied product. Do not assume that polishing the adhesive permits polishing or altering the slab's factory-finished face.

Application workflow

General Application Workflow

This is a planning overview, not a substitute for the actual product's instructions or SDS. Confirm all required components, preparation methods, working conditions and curing stages before use.

  • Review and dry-fit. Check the slab manufacturer's fabrication guidance, joint geometry, supports and clamps. Avoid forcing misaligned pieces together.
  • Prepare the bond faces. Remove contamination using an approved method and meet the required surface and moisture conditions. Do not remove factory mesh or coatings, roughen a decorative face or use aggressive solvents without specific approval.
  • Complete a representative trial. Assess the intended preparation, adhesive, joint and finishing process together. Obtain the required bond-performance evidence; visual inspection alone is insufficient.
  • Prepare the adhesive as instructed. If mixing is required, use only the specified matching components and ratio, including whether it is measured by mass or volume. Do not borrow another adhesive's hardener or alter its dosage to force a faster cure.
  • Assemble within the confirmed working time. Apply the adhesive and maintain the specified joint contact and bond-line thickness. Support and secure the pieces without excessive stress or squeezing the joint dry.
  • Allow the required cure. Follow the separate requirements for releasing fixtures, machining, handling and service loading. Finish and remove residues only by methods approved for both the adhesive and the slab surface.

Questions before ordering

Is this the same as marble adhesive or epoxy structural adhesive?

Do not assume that these products are interchangeable. Select an adhesive for the actual material, joint geometry and service conditions. Approval on marble does not automatically establish compatibility with a particular sintered stone slab.

Is it a two-component epoxy, and what is the mixing ratio?

The product image does not establish the chemistry, component count or mixing ratio. Obtain the confirmed instructions for the actual supplied product. Do not infer a 1:1 ratio, a percentage of hardener or a ready-to-use system from the packaging illustration.

Can it bond sintered stone to aluminium honeycomb or timber?

That application needs separate assessment. Identify both bonding surfaces, panel size, backing treatments, support design and expected moisture or temperature exposure. Suitability for a small miter joint is not approval for a large composite panel.

Can I use it outdoors?

Outdoor suitability has not been established in this draft. Confirm the adhesive and complete assembly for the intended exposure before specifying it. The slab's own weather resistance is not evidence of the adhesive joint's durability.

Will a white adhesive make the joint invisible?

Not necessarily. Slab color, pattern, joint geometry and the adhesive's cured appearance affect visibility. Approve a representative cured sample. Do not add arbitrary pigments or promise a precise color match without verification.

When can I polish or move the bonded piece?

Use the confirmed instructions for the supplied product and actual working conditions. Working time, fixture-release time, machining time and full service readiness are different stages. A surface that feels hard is not sufficient evidence that the assembly is ready to lift or load.

Can it replace a movement-joint sealant or structural fixing?

No such use is established here. This page is scoped to assessed fabrication joints, not flexible movement joints or replacement of required anchors, frames or supports.

Does the 1L pack include a hardener?

The packaging illustration does not confirm the contents of a complete kit. Confirm net quantity, component packaging and any included accessories with the actual quotation and supplied label.
